Today I was given a 60x60 lot in the quiet little town of Riverview and was given the challenge to create a legacy. The only problem is that I have to found this legacy with only 200 simoleons. Well that is going to be tough, but I know I was created just for this challenge. Now it is time to get started with my life. First things first, I needed a place to sleep.
My first purchase was a lime green sleeping bag which depleted my household funds to 100 simoleons. I set it close to the mail box so I would know when the mail and the paper came. I cannot get a job during this challenge, although I can sell the produce collect and fish I catch.
First of all I needed to find out where the local community garden was located, but with just arriving here I needed to ask someone for directions. Just then I looked across the street and noticed a large Mansion.
"I wonder if anyone is home?" I asked myself as I approached the front door.
I quickly marched up the front steps and rang the doorbell. I was surprised when the front door swung open and a handsome man was standing there.
"Hi I am Zarah Helm and I just moved in across the street." I introduced myself.
"I am Jon Lessen and I have lived her my whole life! It is very nice to meet you." Jon replied, then continued, "Won't you come in?"
Of course I followed, once inside we began talking about our careers and I found out that Jon is a Lyricist.
We began talking about high schools and then the question came up, "So did you buy that three story brown house at the end of the street?"
Well I am not embarrassed about where I live so I just had to say it, "No I bought the vacant lot right across the street."
Jon looked at me strangely, but didn't say anything.
"Do you mind, I haven't got the funds to purchase a bathroom yet, could I use yours?" I couldn't hold it in any more. I really had to go and my breath could knock a man out!
"Oh yeah, it is just under the stairs." He nodded his head toward the back of the house.
"Thank you." I simply stated and walked to the bathroom.
I decided this was my chance to clean up before heading into town. I quickly used his bathroom to brush my teeth and sponge bathe. Just as I was washing my hands there was a knock at the door.
"Are you just about done? I have to leave for work now and I don't know you all that well so I am going to have to ask you to leave." Jon stated as friendly as he could under the awkward circumstances.
"I also looked up the address of the community produce garden for you." He finished as I shut off the water.
"Yeah I am done, just a moment." I dried my hands and opened the door.
Jon handed me a slip of paper with the name of the Garden and the address in handsome print. I could tell he was a hopeless romantic because he put hearts as his Os.
Upon arriving at Azala Acres Community Garden I noticed many of the plants were ready to be harvested. I began to collect as much as I could in hopes to have food to eat and sell and plant. I was able to collect apples, potatos, onions, lettuce, watermelon, and bell peppers. I even found a couple of rare seeds.
Joy and thankfulness was surging through me! I knew that Heavenly Father had answered a prayer for me.
As I reached high above my head to collect the apples in the tree I noticed I wasn't alone in the garden. I wasn't really ready to meet the townies just yet. I needed to get my lot in order first. I proceded to collect all that was ripe and headed for the grocery store. I needed to sell some of the produce so I could get started on my garden at home. I set aside what I wished to keep for planting and eating, which were the apples, lettuce, and watermelon.
Upon leaving the store I felt as though I had done something with my day. I had some money in my pocket now and 2 carrots to plant at a later date when my skill level was high enough. Glancing around I noticed a lovely lady standing outside. She looked nice enough, so I walked up to her and introduced myself.
